We are seeking an Android Developer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance applications for the Android platform. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of Android development, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.  Immediate Joiner Preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
  • Continue to learn, grow, and help us tackle brand new challenges
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the latest in Android development
  • Knowledge of writing readable, maintainable, and performant object-oriented Java
  • Experience with Android development tools
  • Released at least 1-3 apps or have a project in progress
  • 1-3 years of professional experience preferred
  • Eagerness to embrace scalability, reliability, and performance challenges
  • BE/ME degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven software development experience in Android app development
  • Experience with Android SDK
  • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
